Kellie Bailey

Director of Operational Strategy

Kellie most recently served as the Chief Administrative Officer for Covenant House Missouri’s providing oversight to all administrative services including finance, facilities, technology, human resources, enterprise risk management, legal affairs, and strategic management. Kellie was instrumental in the development and implementation of sustainable processes and procedures to ensure compliance with granting agencies and other funders. She was effective in identifying new funding opportunities for the organization, maintaining and improving relationships with current grantors, and oversaw all grant reporting and tracking. Kellie played a key role in developing CHMO’s annual budget, working closely with the Finance Committee and key stakeholders.

She has experience in ongoing strategic human resource planning efforts including performance management, staffing, federal and state law compliance, employee benefits, compensation and payroll, and training and development for all employees. She enjoys being able to create sustainable solutions and systems which benefit the St. Louis community.

Kellie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management. Kellie’s previously served as the Development Director at the Center for Women in Transition (CWIT) where she has extensive experience with funding and grant coordination, budget development, compliance, and donor relations. 

She is a native of Oregon and has since lived in many cities throughout the US. She currently resides in University City with her husband and stepson. Their home is filled with furry friends, including three dogs and two cats. Kellie enjoys cycling, yoga, and taking her dogs for walks/runs.
