St. Louis – Volunteers with Missouri Women in Trades (MOWIT) helped demo and rebuild a plumbing stack at one of the Baker House’s transitional homes for women on June 29 and 30. A group of female Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 members led the project. The house, located in south St. Louis City, is owned by Keyway Center for Diversion and Reentry, which provides housing and wrap-around services for women reentering the St. Louis community from jail or prison. The effort is one of several projects MOWIT has completed for the agency.
